I understand that if you really want to learn how to fly helicopters, these folks will make sure it happens. They have a very well developed flight training program and have been around for quite a while.

www.HoverControl.com Hover Control also provides a very nicely structured progam for beginning rotary wing pilots. From ground school through instructor certification, they have it all. Besides, they have some great scenry related tutorials. Well worth your time.

akweathercams.faa.gov Live feeds from FAA deployed cameras providing pilots with a quick view of the weather in the direction they are headed.
http://www.landings.com/_landings/pages/search/search_dist_apt.html Very nice flight planning site with some interesting maps and views of the flight path.
www.flightsimsetc.dhs.org Frank Betts website with lots of downloads for both flightsim and trainsim.
Virtual Air Traffic Simulation Network "VATSIM" was created in 2001 by a group of individuals who came together with a goal of creating an organization which truly served the needs of the flight simulation and online air traffic control community.  With an eye towards more than just providing a network of computers for users to log into, VATSIM is an online community where people can learn and, at the same time, enjoy the pastimes of flight simulation and air traffic control simulation all while making new friends from all over the world.
